Great for pine pellets!
Great for pellet litter! I have been searching high and low for a scooper for my large pine pellet litter, and this scooper is perfect. It has a smaller section towards the front to catch smaller pieces, and a section with my space towards the back for bigger pieces. It’s high quality and sturdy, and I like the stand it comes with. Highly recommend!

Best sifter ever
I really enjoy this. The spacing makes it much easier to sift litter without creating extra dust. It’s easy to clean because it is steel and I like the holder it comes with as well. The only note I would add is that the part where the steel meets the handle can bend if you are trying to scrape up litter that is stuck to the bottom of the box, so be careful that you don’t bend it too much. Otherwise, this is much better than whatever scooper comes with your litter box, I promise.

Good size and fairly good quality for the price. I like that it has a holder, though maybe on future versions the holder could have a brush to allow anything left on the basket surface to come off? My biggest concern is that after a few months of use the section where the handle meets the sifting basket bends a little bit under load (with two cats that happens at times). It still does the job, but it means taking smaller loads and sifting through more times than if it were slightly more robust.

Awesome litter scoop!
Possibly the worst job as a pet mom is cleaning a litter box. But I have to say, this scoop is absolutely perfect. It’s heavy duty and sturdy. The size is larger than other scoops so it takes less time to sift through a box. And the 2 different widths of spacing between the wire is helpful to catch small pieces of used litter. The base holds the scoop well but on carpet, it can topple over because the scoop handle is heavy. Overall I would recommend to anyone with litter box duty.

Great scoop for pine pellet litter – make sure you select the right variation
There are two versions of this scoop. I chose the scoop with two size slots, .2 & .4 and it works just as expected. It is a large scoop that is perfect for larger boxes to sift quickly. The pine bedding pellets I get from my local home/farm supply store easily sift through the larger slot section at the back of the scoop. The narrower slot section can be used to collect smaller bits of waste that may fall through the larger slots. It is so much faster and easier to scoop the boxes with a scoop that had the right size for your litter material, and less waste of the pine pellets. I am really pleased that this is a sustainable material metal and wood scoop that is sturdy and durable. I wish there was an option to buy the scoop without the plastic holder as I didn’t really want a plastic holder but this was the only version of this scoop with the two size slots. At least it is a durable item, not a one use. I’ll attach it near the box with command strips to hold the scoop, but the scoop also has a metal hanging loop to hand on the box or a hook, so the holder really is unnecessary. I’ve been trying to find the right scoop for the pine pellet litter since I switched from the breeze pellets a couple years ago and this is finally perfect. If you are looking for a scoop for wood/pellet type litter, make sure you select the one with .2 & .4 slots, not the one with .3 slots.

Handle bent on 2 scoopers
Critical design flaw: Handle is secured to the scoop in a flimsy way – it bends and gets worse over time! Does not last even 6 mos. Ordered two – one for me and one for a friend. Same story. Very disappointing because otherwise it’s light and seems practical.

The plastic scoop holder was broken when I opened the package. This particular item was not available for return. Scoop works for larger clumps only; not the greatest for smaller ones.
