Very versatile and fun
It works great. It chirps and moves around. It has a sensor where if it hasn’t been touched for some time, it will go into a standby and sit still until it is touched again. It saves battery and you don’t have to run around to catch it to turn it off once your cat is done playing.I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you can easily take off any hair or strings that it picks up along the way. With some other toys like this you need a screwdriver and it’s a hassle. This one just unclips, you can remove the hair and you snap the plastic claw back into place. The motor won’t burn out and the cleaning is so easy.I really like that the tail has some sparkly bits and bells. Honestly it can be used on its own to play with your cat.That said, if you have a chill cat that doesn’t like loud things, maybe it’s not for you. The toy chirps, which is not the problem, the problem is how loud it gets on any floor besides carpet. It is extremely loud and scared my second cat. My first cat is a psycho and doesn’t care even if there was a tornado above our house, he loves this toy. Each to their own. You know your cat better so you make that decision. I recommend it even just for the tail. Also, if you really want to try with your chill cat and hardwood floors, you can always take of the plastic claw that holds the tail, and let the ball itself run around, which is silent apart from little chirps. It’s a very versatile toy.

A fun toy!
I love this toy and how fun it is for my cats. It has three settings. One slower, one faster, and one that is interactive.It definitely moves around a lot and is interactive with my cats. The slow option is the perfect pace for my larger kitty and the fast option is perfect for my smaller kitty! It took me a moment to figure out to get it to work, but once I figured it out, it was easy!It also has a fun tail with pretty fluorescent wings on the tips which makes it very pretty and flashy and attractive for the cats.I will say it has a chirping sound that is supposed to imitate a bird and well….my cats do NOT like that sound. And you cannot turn off the chirping…or if there is a way, I don’t know how. One of my cats is very scared of it, my other is too curious for his own good. So at least one of my cats likes the toy!I do think it’s a wonderful toy, it’s just that chirping will probably only work for some cats. I wish there was an option to turn it off.

Fun toy with an issue
This toy is so much fun—for both me and my cat! As soon as I turned it on, it zipped across the floor like a little robotic critter, and my cat was instantly curious.The chirping sound is a nice touch, but I wish I could figure out how to turn it off. The instructions say to press the button twice but that’s not working for me. The description sales it comes with two tails, but my box did not contain the rope tail.One of my favorite things about this toy is the motion-activated feature—it goes into standby mode and wakes up when my cat taps it, so she can play whenever she wants. The tails add extra excitement, especially because the mesh one makes a little jingling sound.It rolls well on both hardwood and carpet, though I have to rescue it from under the couch sometimes. Charging is super easy, and the battery lasts a long time, which is a huge plus.Overall, this is a fun toy that keeps my cat engaged, but I wish it more closely matched the description by having both tails and being able to turn the sound off.

OMG- Human entertainment too!!
This little gadget is crazy wild and is truly like a demented bird without the ability to fly rolling around the floor chirping like a maniac. I loved it! My cat was a little more cautious and watched it with a bemused expression for a bit. It was really pretty fun to observe the whole relationship.The toy charged quickly- we went out to dinner and were back an hour later with it fully ready to go. That was the hard part though. Finding the almost imperceptible depression zone to activate the toy took some serious lighting and readers on our faces. Once pressed though look out! That little toy springs into action so quickly I actually yelped with it startling me!My favorite part of this toy is watching it maneuver its way out of corners and areas of the room that are not open enough for it to back freely up. Truly if they make a roomba like this I’d buy it!I’m giving this five stars though the chirp feature that the directions say can be turned off does not work on our toy. I have noted that others mention the same defect in their usage. The chirping while annoying to a certain extent does sort of add to the entertainment atmosphere and is not so loud as to make me crazy. This is a toy that hopefully my cat will really engage in- at least as much as I do!

Works on thick shaggy carpet!
Works excellent, even on our super thick shaggy area rug! Even rolls from low carpet onto the thick area rugs with ease. It has gone all over and under and hasn’t gotten itself stuck yet! Motor is a little noisy but it doesn’t deter the cats. There’s fast, slow and interactive modes indicated by different colored lights. Also has auto shut off. All 3 kitties are interested in watching and following it around, one kitty likes to catch/play with it. I won’t leave it out when unsupervised because the tail “feathers” are plastic with glued pompoms and seem to be potential eating/choking hazards. You can remove it by unscrewing the tail and using the toy without one. Hopefully there will be different tail styles and materials in the future (unless I’m unaware of any out there now) Instructions are clear for on/off/modes. Booklet says you can mute the chirp by pressing twice. I have tried and tried, because it does get pretty annoying since it is non-stop chirping😵💫, haven’t figured it out. Most other similar ones don’t state muting it to be an option, so I’m guessing this was misinformation. USB C charged battery has been going strong for about 30 mins straight so far. I’m happy with it since it can move in all surfaces and over cords. I gave one less star since you can’t mute it and the cats don’t really play with it, they just like following it around.
