I got these washable pee pads mainly for my small dog’s crate and they’ve been working out perfectly. First off, they’re really cute—the bone print is a nice touch and actually looks decent in the house, unlike the typical disposable pads that always look out of place. I got the 18x24in size, which fits just right in my pup’s crate and also works well on the couch as a backup layer.The absorbency is what impressed me the most. These pads hold a lot more liquid than I expected without leaking through, and the waterproof backing really does its job. I’ve even used them during potty training and they kept the floor completely dry. The non-slip bottom is another big plus—they stay in place even with my dog shifting around or pawing at them.I’ve washed them several times already and they still look and work like new. No shrinking, fraying, or losing their shape. I just toss them in with a cold wash and air dry, and they’re good to go. Decent price if looking to make sure your pup will use them
Pros – my puppy used it right away!Cons – very strong odor Not sure if it’s due to the size I ordered, but they will not lay flat, at all!!! I’ve tried everything, and it’s a big problem when you have a puppy that likes to chew on anything that gives an indication that it can be moved. On top of that, it’s not a flat surface and the urine runs a little before absorbing. They don’t leak, BUT they do not dry…not at all! They’re like a wet towel, so in the short time I’ve had them I’ve been washing and swapping twice. Not very convenient, and the disposable ones last longer before tossing, but I like not adding waste to the landfills. I’ll probably go with a different brand, but I’m glad he took to them so I’ll invest elsewhere.
