Nicely made and attractive puppy pads
We are getting a new puppy in about three weeks! It’s been YEARS since we’ve had a puppy and our almost 12 year old Griff is going to be surprised! Anyway, I ordered the larger size pee pads for the ex pen the puppy will be in and some smaller 18” x 24” ones for under food dishes and so forth. I already use smaller ones, from another company, that we’ve had for years for under bowls. Our older Griff is a messy eater and I suspect the puppy will be too. I ordered them yesterday and they were here today. They’re great looking pads and seem well made. Since I haven’t used them yet I’ll have to update my review at some point. But they look so nice and I believe they’ll hold up well. I already put one under our older dog’s bowl and it actually looks pretty! I already ordered four more of the smaller 18” x 24” size because I think they will be handy.

Excellent Pads!
My dog delivered a few days ahead of schedule. Fortunately, I already had a whelping box with a similar included pad on hand.After just one day using the pad that came with the box I ordered these and am very glad I did! These are absorbent and do not shrink when washed (cold water) like the other one did.I have recently washed them on warm water a few times and noticed they have drawn in a bit because they no longer fit under the walls of the 48”x48” whelping box. I’d say washing in warm has shrunk them to a 47”x47”.I highly recommend these pads.

My vinyl floor were staring to llosen where the dogs pee. I use this now alon with the regular plastic absorbent pad to keep pee from licking out into the floor. Once they smell i just thriw them in the washer

I bought these washables pads to replace disposable dog pee pads.Do washables work as a replacement for disposables?> Yes.Does it work better or worse, leak wise?> The washables do hold in pee well and I don’t notice any pee spilling over on the sides, BUT washables actually DO leak a little under the mats if it sits there for more than 4-6 hours (floor has wet spots). Disposables do that as well in a shorter timeframe, but if comparing leaks in general, the disposables are definitely worse with leaks (side spillage and wet floors underneath). If you change out EITHER washables or disposable pads often enough throughout the day, you could curb down on the leaks. But some of us are not home all day so we don’t have that luxury. If you do, great.Is the cost of washables worth it?> I believe in the long run, it will be. Monthly disposable pads run about $60 for me (I have 2 small dogs). These washables if they last through daily washes for a of couple years, the savings is there.How is the odor control on the washables?> I have sensitive nose to pee odors. I would say washables don’t eliminate the urine odor completely, but it does a decent enough job containing urine odors. As best as it can, I suppose. Yes, you can still smell it slightly, and especially if it’s really wet, but by that stage it should be changed out anyway.How is this brand in comparison to other brands here on Amazon?> I honestly purchased 3 different brands from different price points ($14.99, $19.99 to $34) to test its durability and quality. I’ve been using all 3 brands. They all have the same minor issues stated here (minor wet spots on floor and odor control). The price difference is just that, not one out performs the other in any significant way to justify the price difference. I will probably invest in 2-3 more orders of the $14.99 4 pack bundle ones to have an abundance on hand to rotate out as needed.

We got these to replace the disposable puppy pads that the puppy kept tearing up and eating. These did the perfect job! We easily take them out and hose them off and put them right back. They have been a lifesaver for us!

These pads are amazing! We were putting disposable pads on top of towels which was high maintenance and looked terrible. These look much nicer and are so easy to wash and re-use!

Great way to save money UPDATED again and again
So I bought blue ones and notice 1 never fully dries in dryer in corners not sure why but it’s annoying. I like the concept I just wish I had my own washer and dryer cause it would make these a lot more cost effective. They all end up shrinking even on low heat and cold wash even on gentle.After months I realized mine shrunk a few inches as it was a rectangle and now almost a square. May be my fault cause I washed in warm water past few times and even dried on possibly medium heat trying to get the stink of pee off. I only recently realized my tide pods had fabric softener in it likely making it not dry as well when my dog used. I have recently bought the light blue ones same size and see the length the old ones were. I like the lighter color easier to tell when my dog has gone potty on it and where. I intend to buy another set in light pink. I am hoping these ones do not shrink as I normally washed these in cold and most of my laundry in cold water. I changed laundry pods so no fabric softener and scented beads for wash (also no softener) and it helped the smell be gone on these dark grey ones I’ve used for a good 5+ months. I was using disposable puppy pads for about a month when got my pup. She was 4 months old boxer/beagle mix about 21.5 pounds. Once she began to feel comfortable and start having her zoomies of energy I saw puppy pads being ripped and bitten over and over . Once my pup ripped a puppy pad she wouldn’t stop trying to rip it up more so it was often just garbage. After a month of throwing ripped pads away I realized I was going through a lot daily and not cause she used it to go potty. She is starting to leash train so she can start going outside but I tried to find puppy pads on Amazon to see if found a better deal. Nope. But came across washable/reusable puppy pads and was like sure why not. I got 31”by 41” 2 pack and a 2 pack of I think 48” by 60”. I even bought from different seller 4 pack of 18” by 24” but those haven’t arrived yet. My pup has gone potty on this one a few times today and it seems to absorb fast BUT unfortunately it does not really dry. I took a few paper towels to where my pup went potty after like 30 minutes or so and it was still wet BUT I had to press down on it to actually pull up any pee. So it’s a plus. I had to ask about putting it in a dryer and it’s recommended to dry on low heat. Feels like blanket and not so easy to move around once pressed down on hard floor. I am in an apartment so I’ll have to pay to do laundry which might seem expensive but in the end it’s better than alternativeUpdateI do notice that it can be useful for my medium size puppy for a day but it does not actually dry out while on floor and will leak on mye when I put it in washer. I try to switch my first one with a second one the next day while putting used one in garbage scented bag till I can wash both of them. I think if they sit too many days with being soaked in pee it’s gross but I live in an apartment where I can’t have my own machines to wash and low heat dry them daily if I did I’d recommend washing daily.
