Applicable Requirements: 1.Window Slot at least 3mm width, 30mm depth. 2.Window Sill less than 6.3in/16cm width. 3.Window Width at least 20in/51cm for small size, 26.5in/67.4cm for large size. Please make sure to meet all the requirements, or it will not fit your window properly!

No screws in the wall needed!
No drill is needed to mount these. I used the little metal tabs attached to the front piece to anchor them in the window. The half-moon shaped pieces stabilize the shelf against the wall by tightening down a knob on each side, BUT I did put an additional screw in each side to keep those stabilizers from moving. My 2 average sized male cats like to move around in the hammock and I can see where this would loosen the knobs included by the manufacturer, over time. The fabric hammock piece is NOT removable for washing or padded, so I added a thin pad on top which I can wash. However, they seemed perfectly comfortable without the added padding.

Large, Looks Good, But Thin
Size is a 23.5″ x 23.5″ square, though description pictures make it look like a rectangle based on the perspective. This is thin enough that I think of it more like a mat or rug than a pad. It’s like a textured blanket sewn to an underside of canvas.Included pictures show top, underside, and edge so you can see the thickness. This doesn’t need to be an example of craftsmanship and as a result it shows puckering, which the cats and their people won’t care about. But cats like warmth and a soft place to lay, and this isn’t soft enough unless you use it on an area they already like so they get hair on this instead of your couch, bed, blanket, etc. For that purpose this is great.As a sole soft place such as on a hardwood floor, thin carpet, bay window, shelf, dresser, side table, counter, wherever you permit your cat to lay, it needs something soft below like an old folded bath towel. But towels can be washed repeatedly so they do the job fine on their own.Since this is a good looking, ok execution of a concept, but hasn’t made a compelling case, I feel this is a 4 star product. I like that the color is a muted beige. The pictures probably don’t show the warmth of the color since there wasn’t much natural light at the time. It’s a very nice neutral color that should go with anything without drawing attention to itself.

Sturdy seat; great price
I was fairly skeptical about this being worth a hoot. Turns out it’s the cats meow!Both of our cats curl up together for sunshine naps in the window hammock.It’s also a great place for bird watching.They’re nagging me for a 2nd one to place on the other side of the house

Sturdy but difficult to assemble and doesnt work in window
Honestly this was a huge disappointment. It does not hook stably onto the window, and was virtually impossible to get it to attach and provide a level surface.It was also very difficult to assemble, i needed a vice or wrench to hold the dowel to get the screws in- the only reason i am not returning is because I don’t want to deal with disassembling.

Good luck assembling this thing
The instructions suck. It’s hard to assemble. The holes drilled into the dowels are not deep enough and nearly wrecked my hands trying to screw them together. And the Allen key is awful for this job! If you have your own set, I’d use those instead.Also, if you want to keep the skin on your palms, use a rubber glove to hold the dowel while putting it together. I had to set up 2, and by the time I finished my first one, I needed to ice my palm because it was raw! And don’t get me started on trying to attach it to my window. That did not happen!The only saving grace is my cat loves using it as a bed on the ground. That’s it.

Easy to install, a bit less stable than anticipated
I ordered this for my cats because we have 6 of them and they all like to look out the windows. They don’t love it, but they do use it. The item was very easy to assemble and came with all the tools I needed. It is a bit more difficult to install in the window because you have to keep adjusting the legs to try to make it more stable. We were not able to get it as stable as we would like, but it doesn’t fall off the window. It’s a great price and I feel better about it’s security than I would a suction cup mount.
