Extremely durable!
Bought this for our Minature Dachshund puppy who is a chewer! He will destroy anything he gets a hold of and thought this would be a great toy for him. He LOVES his alligator and if you ask him where it is, he’ll go get it. Takes it outside with him and cries at the door if he forgets it. He can get it to squeak sometimes (thankfully), but I think a larger dog would be able to do it more often. Great investment!

Holding up surprisingly well.
I bought two of these for my two dogs — a Lab and a Great Dane. I had doubts as most toys do not stand up well to these twos’ chewing. Over a couple weeks, a plug in the bottom has come out. That plug could pose a choking hazard for some dogs. My two really like the chewing action on the toys, biting down and letting go. I’m not describing it well, but you might get it. They’re not really chewing to consume or destroy but just exercising their jaws. These toys have survived over a month of heavy play and chewing with matches the best toys by Playology, a more expensive brand of very durable rubber chews and ropes that I frequently buy. I will get these alligators again when these toys eventually wear out.

Pup has had this for months now. Little pieces of rubber do flake off but nothing large enough for him to choke on.

Durable 100% , Squishy and fun Meh
I got this primarily for my Doberman, who as you might guess is excellent at destroying toys 😅 – and hands downs the durability is amazing, But….. it so tough, hard to make squeak that he ends up carrying it for a moment and then leaving it for another toy. I even put treats in the toy, but he gave it up quickly and much prefers something more maleable / shreddable like a Bark BoneJust as an FYI he is about 1yo old and 75lbs, so if you have a super chewer who likes rubber toys than this would be great, mine just never took to it 🤷🏽♀️

Too heavy for lil guys
Shih tzu pug mix loves it, but just as a friend. A little too heavy for him to carry, too big to chew, and I couldn’t make it squeak with my own strength. Durable, but not for lil guys. If i had a pitt, I’d give it to them for sure.

I have had this toy for quite some time, and it still is around. My dog destroys all of her toys, but she has not been able to get this apart.

Surprising
Update this toy lasted 4 months before any pieces were ripped off by my 11mo rottie. She chewed on this daily with treats in it. I’m quite impressed and will buy another. The lifespan and price are great.I have a Rottweiler that can cut thru every toy with her sharp teeth and incredible bite force. This alligator is so tough its hard for me to squeak it with my hand. It is made of a rubber so I am not concerned about tooth injuries. We jam treats into the zig zag mouth opening to entire even more chewing. The toy has been holding up wonderfully for nearly months. What a bargain!

Great for chewers… but they have to gain interest in it.
At first, my dogs (Westie Terrier and Nlack Mouth Cur/Lab mix puppy) (who sometimes fight over toys… I bought two) didn’t have a lot of interest in these. They would only chew sometimes. I started putting the spray cheese/liver/peanut butter in the teeth (mouth and tail) of the toy, and now they focus on it for a half hour or so.These are pretty durable, and made out of a material similar to the KONG chew toys. They have a squeaker (that is a little difficult to squeeze… I’m 48, 6′ tall and weigh 275, and even I have to use a light to medium amount of hand strength to get it to squeak). But the rubber is durable, and and the toy us well-built… it doesn’t seem to come apart.I think the only improvement on it is that it could be made of the “flavored” rubber that’s out (beef, bacon, etc.), to keep the dogs’ attention… thats why I’m giving it 4 stars. Overall, it’s a great product.
